ABOUT.

Ever since taking A.P. Environmental Science in high school, my primary passion has been doing my part to abate the climate crisis planet earth faces. Since then, my journey has taken me through an undergraduate career dedicated to studying sustainability and environmental activism, and now, a graduate career dedicated to honing my writing skills in pursuit of becoming an environmental journalist.

I earned a B.S. in Earth, Society, and Environmental Sustainability from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign in 2018. At UIUC, I also studied ecology and conservation biology, urban planning, and environmental writing.

Most recently, I completed a professional M.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in journalism, with a specialty in environmental journalism.

I worked as a communications intern at the Wisconsin Energy Institute during my graduate program. In the past, I have worked in multiple roles to advance campus sustainability at the University of Illinois' Institute of Sustainability, Energy, and Environment. I also spent a summer working to coordinate a cleanup of Illinois' waterways at the Prairie Rivers Network.

I believe that communicating more widely and clearly about the threats that climate change poses to humanity is key to overcoming it. To help readers understand these threats better, I published a five-part blog series about the concrete ways that our lives in Wisconsin are going to change if we don't take fast and decisive action.
